A way to really experience and understand the people its traditions, and its culture.

Global SunTag specializes in coordinating suitable and friendly homestay families for international students while they study in their host country.

Our students want to experience life as part of a Canadian family and to learn English in a loving environment.  Global SunTag knows that the experience of the international students in their new Canadian home is pivotal for the success of the program and this is why it offers a dedicated Homestay service where the host family chosen open their doors and hearts to welcome the student as one of their own children. A very special one!
Due to the ethnic diversity the families in Canada are very unique, with different cultural backgrounds, customs and interests. Our host families are excited to welcome someone new into their lives, they want to learn about the student’s culture an sharing their lifestyle in a positive and mutually rewarding way where the student feels welcome, safe, secure to learn and grow and to make it a fun learning experience for all involved.
Our hosts are carefully selected and must complete a thorough criminal record check for all members of the household over the age of 18.

The safety and security of our students is our priority!

Students can be placed in homes as singles or pairs (if required). They attend either public, private high schools or English Language Schools for 3 months or more, and sometimes stay for a few years to complete schooling in Canada.
Living situations in homestay programs range to complete family immersion for all age students to basic room-rental arrangements for university students and working professionals. In a homestay program, the student will typically need to have a room with a bed, desk, reading lamp, dresser and a closet, 3 nutritious meals, and laundry facilities. In most cases, host families tend to be families that have younger or teenage children themselves. Host families often choose to offer homestay because it is a great way for their own children to meet with international students and be exposed to different cultures. Homestay families also provide a good support system for international students who are far from home, and friendships are often formed between host and students that last a lifetime.
